Orlic: Parliament to elect new minister of economy on Wednesday
BELGRADE - Parliament Speaker Vladimir Orlic set Wednesday as the day for a vote to elect Serbia's new minister of economy.
"I hereby set Wednesday 11.30 am as the date for a vote on the third item of the agenda - election of the minister of economy," Orlic announced on Tuesday during a parliamentary session that was disrupted by opposition parties.
Brnabic: Fulfilment of obligations precondition for continuation of normalisation with Pristina
BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic said during a meeting with the UK's special Western Balkans envoy Stuart Peach in Belgrade on Wednesday that fulfilment of agreed obligations was a precondition for a continuation of the process of normalisation of Belgrade-Pristina relations.
Brnabic: Serbia a European leader in AI
BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic said on Tuesday evening the ICT sector was an engine of Serbia's development and that her government would focus on five areas during preparations for EXPO 2027: autonomous cars, a BIO4 campus, investments in science and technology parks, further investments in Kragujevac and development of artificial intelligence.

CAS rejects Kolubara appeal, upholds FSS decisions
BELGRADE - The Lausanne-based Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has rejected an appeal filed by Serbian football club Kolubara against a Football Association of Serbia (FSS) decision to strip it of its licence and relegate it to the Serbian third division, it has been confirmed to Tanjug.

Brnabic receives farewell visit from UAE ambassador
BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic received a farewell visit from UAE Ambassador to Belgrade Mubarak Saeed Al Dhaheri on Tuesday, and noted that the UAE was Serbia's top foreign trade partner and its leading export market among Gulf Cooperation Council member states.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vui also participated in the conference.
"I thank France and the French Development Agency, as well as the World Bank for the huge funds they allocated for local self-governments in Serbia, which must come up with the best projects in the interest of the citizens," Vui said during his address.
Final section of Belgrade bypass opened to traffic
BELGRADE - The final section of a 9.74 km Belgrade bypass stretching from Strazevica to Bubanj Potok was opened to traffic on Thursday.
The section completes a 47 km full-profile, six-lane motorway route from Batajnica to Bubanj Potok, whose construction began over 30 years ago.

President of Cuba arrived in Belgrade PHOTO
Bermdez arrived in Belgrade last night and was met at the airport by the Minister of Defense of Serbia, Milos Vucevic.
As announced by the Office for Media Relations of the President of Serbia, at 10:00 a.m., welcome ceremony for the Cuban President is planned in front of the Palace of Serbia.
At 10:15, the tete-a-tete meeting between Vui and Bermdez will begin.

Brnabic: Employment, exports in Serbia's IT sector rising
BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic said on Friday Serbia's IT service exports in Q1 2023 alone totalled 786 mln euros, rising by 44 pct y-o-y, and that record-high exports of 4 bln euros were expected this year.
Brnabic said the number of employees in the Serbian IT sector had risen by as many as 3,435 since the beginning of the year.
