Local elections in Split, Croatia are not over yet - 9.46 percent of ballots will be recounted, at the request of Zeljko Kerum, a candidate in the mayoral race.

Croatia's daily Jutarnji List writes that Davor Grcic, an observer from the Pametno party, revealed the details concerning the invalid ballot papers, and said he was "delighted" by his fellow citizens' "creativity."

Far-Right Attacks on Croatian University Condemned

Ministry won't ask for extension of privatization deadlines

If the fate of 17 state-owned companies of strategic importance is not solved by the expiration of deadlines, "it might be a problem and a blow for the budget."

Serbian Minister of Economy Zeljko Sertic stated this on Wednesday, according to Tanjug, and added that his ministry "will not ask for extension of the deadlines."
