Today is the Student's Holiday, Celebrated in Bulgaria since 1903
Today is the holiday of Bulgarian students.
In 1897, Professor Ivan Shishmanov, the Minister of Enlightenment, asked the first Higher School in Bulgaria to have "a special, own holiday". At its meeting on November 2, 1902, the Academic Council of the Higher School set the day of the enlightener St. Kliment Ohridski - November 25 (December 8 - a new style), for this holiday.
Trash collectors to protest deaths
The union representing local authority workers, POE-OTA, has called on its members to walk off the job on Monday following the death on Friday of the 53-year-old driver of a municipal garbage truck who was crushed after losing control of his vehicle near the capital's main landfill in Fyli, northwestern Athens.

Hadrian's Legacy | Athens | To end-November
The National Archaeological Museum presents "Hadrian and Athens: Conversing with an Ideal World," an exhibition marking 1,900 years since the beginning of Hadrian's Principate in AD 117. The show aims at highlighting the Roman emperor's immense enduring legacy in Greece, but also how he contributed to forging many of the cornerstones of Western culture.

Student Donated more than 3000 Books to Community Centers and Homes for Adults
A student from Pazardzhik Village collected and donated over 3000 books to community centers and homes for elderly people from all over the country, bTV reports.
The good deed of Kiril Baldev began three years ago. Then he was 17 years old. The boy says that everyone keeps valuable books in their home, but they rarely read and it may be useful to other readers.
