Peristeri stuns Olympiakos too in Basket League

Peristeri added another major scalp to its collection this year, as after beating champion Panathinaikos a few weeks ago it defeated Olympiakos too on Wednesday, with the Reds appearing to sink into decay. Meanwhile Panathinaikos thrashed AEK on the road to mathematically clinch the top spot in the regular season with three games left to play.

AEK to face Atromitos in Cup, as favorites are kept apart

The draw for the Greek Cup quarterfinals was rather kind to the three favorites, keeping them apart in the round of games to be played next month.

The biggest match from Friday's process has been the pairing of Atromitos with last year's champion AEK, with the first leg to take place in Peristeri. Another interesting tie will be that of Panionios with holder PAOK.

PAOK is winter champion as Reds draw at Xanthi

PAOK came from behind to beat Larissa and extend its lead at the top of the Super League to seven points on Sunday, thanks to the draw Olympiakos conceded at Xanthi that has seen Atromitos leapfrog the Reds into second.

The results mean PAOK is the winter champion, two rounds of games before the halfway point of the league.

AEK back on winning track, draws for Panathinaikos and Atromitos

After a nightmare November, champion AEK returned to winning ways on Sunday beating Xanthi to climb back into the top four of the Super League, while Panathinaikos snatched a last-minute equalizer at Aris and Atromitos dropped points at struggling Apollon Smyrnis. PAOK and Olympiakos are in action on Monday.
