Galatasaray confirmed the signing of Turkish winger Barış Alper Yılmaz from the lower division side Ankara Keçiörengücü on July 9. 

The 21-year old player inked a contract with the Lions until 2026.

"We welcome Barış Alper Yılmaz to our club and wish him a successful career with the Galatasaray jersey," Galatasaray said.

Turkish Spor Toto Super League champion Galatasaray has completed a domestic double after beating Bursaspor 3-2 on June 3 to win the Ziraat Turkish Cup final.

The Istanbul club's striker Burak Y?lmaz scored a hat-trick as Galatasaray sealed its first domestic double since the 1999-2000 season, winning the game 3-2.

Galatasaray narrowly beat Gençlerbirli?i in the Turkish Spor Toto Super League match-up on May 16, as Dutch star midfielder Wesley Sneijder scored a vital goal on the road to the domestic title, with two games to spare.

The Lions' ace in offense, Sneijder, found the net in the penalty area in the 67th minute, with a rare inside-foot shot after an assist by striker Burak Y?lmaz. 

Cesare Prandelli said his side needed more time to get better following a 4-1 defeat on Nov. 4 at Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.

German international Marco Reus, on the transfer wish-list of several leading European clubs, slotted in the first goal after 39 minutes.
