Last Foreign Troops Leave Afghanistan, Taliban Celebrate

The hardline Islamist Taliban celebrated their total return to power on Tuesday with gunfire and diplomacy, after the last US troops flew out of Afghanistan to end two decades of war.

 The United States' longest military conflict drew to a close on Monday night when its forces abandoned Kabul's airport, where it had overseen a frenzied airlift that saw more than 123,000 people flee.

He said that "due to the chaotic situation", the Taliban no longer allow Afghan citizens to go to the airport in Kabul.
"We are working to help, but unfortunately, the Americans are still continuing their policy and trying to get the Afghans out of the country and take them to an uncertain future," Mujahid said.

US: Russia is Arming the Taliban in Afghanistan

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson accused Russia of supplying weapons to the Taliban in Afghanistan. In a briefing for journalists, videos can be seen on the State Department website, he said: "Russia is really delivering weapons to the Taliban and this, of course, is a violation of international norms and a violation of UN Security Council rules.
