Bank robber and suspected anarchist released from prison

Simos Seisidis, a bank robber with alleged anarchist links who had his leg amputated after being shot by police, was released from prison on Monday.

Seisidis was arrested late on Friday in connection with an old case relating to an armed robbery in Nea Halkidona, northeastern Athens, in 2000.
