Pollution seen related to one in 12 deaths in Greece

One in every 12 deaths in Greece is related to pollution, about half the rate recorded globally, according to a US scientific survey.

The report published in "The Lancet" medical journal said that approximately 9,800 deaths from a total of 122,000 in Greece in 2015 were related to pollution, i.e. some 8 percent.

British Medical Journal: legalize all drugs now

For the very first time, the British Medical Journal has called on doctors and the medical establishment to back the legalization of drugs, referring to it as their “ethical responsibility.”

In its editorial, the BMJ argues that laws against drug use have harmed people worldwide, while stressing that drug addiction should be looked upon as a health problem.

Dias Aquaculture announced on Wednesday that its application to enter into the conciliation procedure under Chapter 99 of the Bankruptcy Law has been declined, taking the fish farming firm a step closer to bankruptcy.
