Not only residential buildings but also historical places have been damaged in Adıyaman that suffered great destruction in the Kahramanmaraş Pazarcık-centered earthquake and resulted in the highest number of human losses in proportion to the population.

A biennial exhibition featuring works of 53 artists from 23 countries has kicked off on Mount Nemrut, towering 2,134 meters (7,000 feet) high in the southeastern province of Adıyaman.

Mount Nemrut, one of the world's most important historical and cultural heritage sites, was visited by nearly half a million people over the last five years, surpassing the population of many of Turkey's provinces.

A magnitude 4.7 earthquake was recorded in Turkey's eastern Malatya province on Nov. 27, according to the country's disaster management agency.

The tremor occurred at a depth of 6.94 kilometers (4.3 miles) in the Pütürge district at 11:27 a.m. local time (0827GMT), the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) said.

Bitlis Valley Nature and Sports Club members have tagged the summit of Mount Nemrut, in the eastern province of Adıyaman.
