Prime Minister Florin Citu says he had a "very constructive meeting" in Brussels on Monday evening on Romania's National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) negotiations with President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, and that the negotiations will continue on May 12 with other officials of the Commission.
Connecting Europe Train Will Pass through Bulgaria September 15-17
The special European Year of Rail six-coach train 'Connecting Europe Express' will start its journey from Lisbon on 2 September. Announcing the route and timetable of the train, the Commission said that it will travel across 26 countries in 36 days.

Bulgaria - Second in Road Fatalities Rate in EU
Bulgaria has the second highest death rate in the European Union after Romania in terms of road traffic fatalities. In 2019, the road deaths rate in the country was 89 per one million people. The average figure for the European Union is 51 road deaths per one million people.

Romania's Adina Valean Is the New EU Commissioner for Transport
Newly-elected European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has endorsed Romanian MEP Adina Valean for the position of commissioner for transport in her team, Romania's Insider reported.
