Dozens of Dodecanese hotels close due to expired fire certificates

Just a few days before the start of the tourism season, the Economy and Tourism Ministry has shut down 86 hotels in the Dodecanese after one in 12 units in the popular island complex was found to be violating fire safety regulations.
Coast guard rescues 85 migrants in Aegean Sea
Coast guard officers on Friday rescued and subsequently arrested 85 irregular migrants in the eastern Aegean Sea.
A group of 26 migrants was located off the Dodecanese island of Agathonisi, while another 28 were located on the northeastern coast of another Dodecanese island, Farmakonisi.

Three dead after boat carrying migrants crashes into rocks off Rhodes
Three people have died in Rhodes after a sailing boat carrying migrants from Turkey to the Dodecanese island ran aground.
The Greek Coast Guard said that it rescued 83 people from the water at the Zephyros part of the island, where the vessel crashed against rocks and broke apart.
A man, woman and child were found dead. Authorities did not give further details.
