168 Afghan women police candidates being trained in Turkey's Sivas
Some 168 Afghan women cadets are currently being trained in the Police Vocational Education Center in Central Anatolian province of Sivas as part of a memorandum signed between Turkey and Afghanistan regarding the training and capacity enhancement of the Afghan National Police.
Turkey trains over 5,000 Afghan police officers
Turkey has trained 5,397 Afghan police officers since 2001 when the first police training agreement was signed between the two countries, Ankara's diplomat in Kabul said on Dec. 21.

Female Afghan police cadets train in Turkey
A total of 89 female Afghan police cadets began a two-month-long training program in Turkey on May 2.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the program, Turkish Deputy Interior Minister Sebahattin Öztürk said a total of 2,627 Afghan policemen and women have joined the training program in Turkey since the two countries signed a cooperation agreement in 2011.
