Fierce clashes continue in Sudan, despite a ceasefire renewed last night for another 72 hours.
Rocket attacks were carried out in the capital Khartoum, which also threatened the humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of civilians. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres described the situation in Sudan as unprecedented.

"It's as if a part of mine is taken from us," said the 79-year-old Greek, now in his Athens home, his voice cracking with emotion.
Shots fired at Turkish evacuation plane in Sudan
The Defense Ministry has stated that shots have been fired at a Turkish military plane while landing in an airport north of Khartoum, from where it was supposed to evacuate the Turkish nationals amid the ongoing internal armed conflict in Sudan.

Sudan: 72-Hour Ceasefire was agreed between the two Factions
Warring parties in Sudan - the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have agreed to a new 72-hour ceasefire. However, the BBC reported that fighting in the capital Khartoum and Darfur province continued.
The army claims to control most of the country. Hundreds have also been reported killed in the fighting.
Turkish citizens begin to return home from Sudan
Some 684 Turkish citizens evacuated from Sudan via Ethiopia have arrived in Istanbul, as the deadly clashes between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary forces enter the second week.
Turkish citizens were transported from the Sudanese capital Khartoum to the Ethiopian city of Gondar by a difficult land journey lasting about 24 hours.
