PM Ponta starts three-day visit to China

Prime Minister Victor Ponta has arrived on Sunday in Beijing, heading a delegation that also includes Ministers Liviu Dragnea, Daniel Constantin, Ioan Rus and Constantin Nita into a three-day visit to China, following an invitation of the Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.

Ponta is also accompanied by his wife, Social Democrat Member of the European Parliament Daciana Sarbu.

Nanjing 2014: Romanian javelin thrower Novac wins silver

The medal tally of Romania's delegation at the Second Summer Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China, on Monday increased by one silver won by Mihaita Novac in the men's javelin throw event for a 73.98-m throw.

The event was won by French Lukas Moutarde (74.48 m), his career best, while the bronze medal went to Hungary's Mark Xaver Schmolcz (71.50 m).

MAE, "very concerned" with Russia's "unilateral" decision of sending convoy to Ukraine

The Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) on Friday showed its being "very concerned" with Russia's "unilateral" decision of sending a convoy to Ukraine without the approval of the Government of Kiev.

In a Twitter post, MAE maintains that is absolutely essential that any escalation of the situation be avoided.
