Woman on trial for inflicting bodily harm on babies
The trial of the 55-year-old woman accused of inflicting bodily harm to babies and resisting arrest will take place this coming Wednesday, an Athens court ruled on Friday.
The woman had been arrested for allegedly scratching babies with her nails or a sharp object on a number of occasions at a mall in Aghios Dimitrios, southern Athens.
OASA staff hand out free tickets
Employees of the Athens Urban Transport Organization (OASA) on Tuesday gave out 8,000 electronic tickets for free to commuters at seven of the capital's busiest metro stations in a campaign aimed at raising awareness about the e-cards among the Greek public.

Agios Efstratios island to be heated with renewable energy
The remote island of Agios Efstratios is to be heated by renewable energy sources generated by the Aeolian and photo-voltaic systems that will be installed soon, an Athens Macedonia news agency report says.
Turkish jets violate airspace after PM's sortie
Three Turkish military aircraft - two armed fighter jets and a CN-235 - violated Greek air space in the northeastern, central and southeastern Aegean on two occasions on Thursday.
The transgressions came just a few hours after Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras flew in a Greek F-16 fighter jet following a visit to the 110th combat wing of the Hellenic Air Force in Larissa, central Greece.

Decomposed corpse found in Zakynthos home
Police found a body in an advanced state of decomposition on Tuesday at a home in the village of Ayios Dimitrios on the Ionian island of Zakynthos.
Authorities were notified by neighbors who broke into the house due to the intense smell of the decomposed body of 55-year-old Bulgarian national.
