Ahmići massacre

Three war victims' associations on Monday urged Bosnia and Herzegovina's top international official, High Representative Christian Schmidt, to intervene to remove Lidija Bradara as president of the Bosniak and Croat-dominated Federation entity over her links to a war criminal who she called a "friend", N1 TV reported.

Commemorations will be held on Saturday to mark the anniversaries of wartime killings on April 16, 1993 in the villages of Ahmici, near Vitez, and Trusina, near Konjic.

Croatian President Zoran Milanovic on Tuesday defended his decision to receive in his office former Croatian Defence Council, HVO officers, including Tihomir Blaskic, who served a prison sentence for his role in crimes committed during the Bosnian war after being convicted by the UN court in The Hague.

Drago Josipovic, who served a sentence for his participation in an attack on the village of Ahmici in April 1993 in which over 100 Bosniaks were killed, was due to be buried on Monday afternoon at a Catholic cemetery in Vitez in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Josipovic died on Saturday at the age of 65.
