Three men indicted over Greek Mafia executions

An Athens prosecutor indicted two ethnic Greeks from countries of the former Soviet Union, aged 39 and 21, who were arrested in connection with the murders of two prominent members of the so-called Greek Mafia. They were charged with nine felonies and seven misdemeanors. A third person, who is allegedly connected to one of the suspects, was only charged with misdemeanors.

Serbian State Security Chiefs Convicted of Aiding War Crimes

The former chief of Serbian State Security, Jovica Stanisic, and his deputy Franko Simatovic, were sentenced to 12 years in prison each on Wednesday by the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals in The Hague for aiding and abetting the commission of wartime crimes in the Bosanski Samac area of Bosnia in 1992.

Prosecution seeks jail term of 12 years for Miroslav Miskovic

BELGRADE - Deputy Prosecutor Tamara Ristic sought on Thursday a 12-year prison sentence for the owner of Delta Holding, Miroslav Miskovic, for tax evasion and misuse of office, underlining that he siphoned off EUR 30 million from road maintenance companies.

The deputy prosecutor also urged the special court to fine Miskovic, but did not specify the sum.
