Canadian Paratrooper Dies During Military Exercises in Bulgaria
The accident in which a Canadian paratrooper died happened during a parachute jump on Monday evening near the village of Cheshnigirovo, close to Plovdiv in central Bulgaria, the Ministry of Defence said on Tuesday.
The three survivors have been hospitalised at the Sveti Georgi University Hospital in Plovdiv and have no life-threatening injuries, the ministry added.

Participants in the Zima ("Winter") 2017 exercise, Serbian and US paratroopers, on Thursday morning practiced carrying out a parachuting assault.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the paratroopers jumped from two US C-130 aircraft that took off from the Batajnica airport.
Russian troops arrive for week-long war games in Serbia
Three Russian Il-76 transport planes on Wednesday brought 212 soldiers from the country's Airborne Troops (VDV) to Serbia.
