Scheduled flights resume between Ljubljana and Helsinki
The Finnish air carrier Finnair re-launched scheduled flights between Helsinki and Ljubljana after a three-year hiatus on 10 April. It will be flying between the two capitals four times a week.
Finnair will be flying an Airbus A319 to Helsinki on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Flights from Ljubljana will depart at 9:25am and arrive in Helsinki at 1.05pm local time.
Some 7 million Russians expected to visit Türkiye
Around 7 million Russians are expected to visit Türkiye this year, up from 5.5 million in 2022 as more flights are planned between the two countries.
Some 171 flights from Russia to Türkiye will take place each day during this summer season, according to a report on ekonomim.com.

Air Serbia introduces scheduled service to Ankara
BELGRADE - Air Serbia introduced scheduled service to Ankara early on Friday.
"Direct flights between the Serbian and Turkish capitals will be operated four times a week, every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, by Airbus A319 aircraft," it said in a statement.

Amsterdam airport to ban private jets, night flights
Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport has said that it would stop night flights and bar private jets in a bid to cut greenhouse gas emissions and noise pollution.
Aircraft will be banned from taking off between midnight and 6 a.m. and will not be allowed to land before 5 a.m., Royal Schiphol Group chief executive Ruud Sondag said in a statement.
Aegean Air reports big increase in passengers
Aegean reported a significant increase in passenger traffic during the winter period, reflecting the airline's investment in the weakest quarter of the year and the positive outlook of tourism in the country.
Passenger traffic exceeded 2019 levels by 5% in the first quarter of 2023 and jumped 72% compared with 2022, totaling 2.6 million passengers.

New flights to Croatia from Athens
Croatia Airlines is planning to expand its services out of Athens, linking the Greek capital with three Croatian cities.
It is planning to start operating two flights a week on the Athens-Dubrovnik-Zagreb route on April 20 - on Thursdays and Sundays.

Tourism Minister Vassilis Kikilias met with the Ambassador of Canada Anna-Karine Asselin on Friday.
Boosting tourism flows between the two countries was discussed, as was the significance of the dynamic Greek diaspora in Canada, which further connects Greece and Canada.

Paris-Cephalonia flights to start from April 22
Transavia will start operating twice-weekly direct flights from Paris to the island of Cephalonia from April, it was announced during a special event held at Pavillon Elysee.
The service will begin on April 22 and continue through October 28.
