Turkish banking industry on foreign investors’ radar

After Goldman Sachs increases its earning per share (EPS) estimates for the Turkish banks in its coverage earlier this month, this time Bank of America (BofA) lifted its EPS for Turkish lenders.

"We continue to have a positive view on Turkish private banks," BofA said in a report released on Feb. 19.

Contemporary Istanbul to be held in October

Contemporary Istanbul (CI) will present its 16th edition in a new location, Tersane Istanbul, from Oct. 7 to 10.

EBRD, Ford Otosan charge ahead with big EV lending

 

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is supporting the production of a range of next generation all-electric and plug-in hybrid variants of one-ton commercial vehicles for the European market by arranging a 650 million-euro loan to Ford Otosan, US automaker Ford's joint venture with Turkey's Koç Holding, according to a statement from the bank on July 14.

‘ZERO. Countdown to the Future’ exhibition now online

Sabancı University Sakıp Sabancı Museum's (SSM) exhibition "ZERO. Countdown to the Future," which drew global attention back in 2015, is now online to meet art enthusiasts, shedding light once again on the ZERO movement.

The exhibition was earlier realized from Sept. 2, 2015, until Jan. 10, 2016, in joint efforts with Akbank Sanat.

EBRD ramps up investment in Turkey amid pandemic

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on Jan. 14 said it has hiked its financial support to Turkey amid its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

"The Bank stepped up its financing in Turkey to €1.7 billion ($2 billion) in 2020 through 33 projects, from €1 billion in 35 projects in 2019," it said in a statement.
