US, Russia conduct first joint patrol in Syria
The U.S. and Russia conducted on May 27 their first joint patrols in al-Hasakah, a Syrian province under the YPG/PKK occupation, local sources said.
The U.S. and Russian armored military vehicles met for joint patrols in Deir Gusun village, near the Turkish border, according to the sources.

US troops block Russian forces way to oil fields in Syria
U.S. soldiers present in regions of northern Syria under the YPG/PKK terror group's control stopped a Russian military convoy from reaching oil fields in Al-Hasakah province on Jan. 21.
The move comes amid an ongoing dispute between the U.S. and Russia over the Rumeylan oil field in northeast Al-Hasakah.

Between the beginning of the 120-hour pause in Operation Peace Spring on Oct. 17 and Oct. 21, some 125 vehicles belonging to members of the YPG had left the planned safe zone and headed in the direction of al-Hasakah city, security sources said.

"We are a normal family, like any other," the mother told BIRN, saying her daughter had left in December 2014.
"We addressed the local authorities [in Novi Pazar] but they all remain silent."
US reportedly installs air defense systems in northern Syria
It has been claimed the United States has installed air defense and electronic radar systems in Kobani, which are controlled by the PYD and YPG and in the al-Shaddadi U.S. base in the Hasakah province, in preparation for creating a no-fly zone in northern Syria.
32 killed in Syria suicide attack at Kurdish wedding (video)
A suicide bomber has struck a wedding in northeast Syria as the bride and groom were exchanging vows, killing 32 people and wounding dozens, a medical source and witnesses said.
The bomber blew himself up late Monday in the village of Tall Tawil in Hasakeh province where a Kurdish party official was getting married.

Ex-Royal Marine of Greek descent killed in battle against ISIS
A British citizen of Greek descent was killed fighting Islamic State soldiers last Monday, according to International media reports.
The 25-year-old man, identified as Konstandinos Erik Scurfield, a former Royal Marine from Barnsley, UK, died during a battle against the terror group with the Kurdistan People's Protection Units (YPG) in the Al-Hasakah provice of Syria.
