This goofy nationalism is typical TikTok content, which is often based on simplistic patterns conveying everyday life, be it drama, comedy, or tragedy. In the context of inter-ethnic relations, the Achilles heel of Balkan politics, it perpetuates ethnocentric differentiation between peoples. Its goofiness normalizes this worldview for younger audiences.

These are just some of the dream meanings as traditionally understood by Kosovo Albanians, and now collected in a book published in Pristina.

Kosovo's potential Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, has used his growing popularity in the wider Albanian diaspora to call on ethnic Albanians from North Macedonia to take part in that country's census.

In snap elections in Kosovo on February 14, Kurti's Vetevendosje party received the support of more than 75 per cent of the more than 50,000 votes that Kosovars living abroad cast.

With the deadline to set up a register of diaspora voters about to expire next week, Albania has missed its chance to ensure around 1.2 million Albanians living abroad can vote in the next general election, which is due in April.

Experts and citizens are voicing concern that the addresses of minority ethnic Albanians in Serbia are being made quietly inactive by the Serbian authorities, without the subjects being informed.

Are political calculations behind a practice in Serbia to classify as inactive the addresses of people deemed no longer living at their registered addresses, a significant number of them ethnic Albanians?

According to him, he believes that it is questionable whether international forces and internal Kosovo-Albanian divisions will enable that.
He points out that the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, is the only person in the region who has the strength and desire to reach a good solution to this problem.
