Six injured in brawl between Greeks, Albanians in Gerakas

Six people were injured in a brawl that broke out in the early hours of Monday in Gerakas, eastern Attica, between a group of Greeks and a group of Albanians. 

Police are investigating whether the altercation could have been triggered by a shootout between police and an ethnic Greek in southern Albania on Sunday night that resulted in the llatter's death.

Times: Jihadis are back in Kosovo - "caliphate is not dead"

It states that according to what is known to authorities in Pristina, since 2012, 348 adults had gone from Kosovo to Syria to join Islamic State.

The newspaper says that "many have died there, but many have returned," and that "in the absence of a coherent program of de-radicalization, (Islamist) prisoners get out of jail and remain loyal to Islamic State."

From Russia with love: Syria gets S-300 missile systems

TASS reported this, citing a military diplomatic source.

"On October 1, three battalion sets of S-300PM systems of eight launchers each were delivered to Syria," the unnamed source said.

According to the same source, these systems were previously deployed at one of the Russian Aerospace Forces regiments which now uses the S-400 Triumf systems.

Skopje gaffe: Austrian chancellor welcomed with wrong flag

At the official ceremony in front of the government of Macedonia, Kurz was welcomed with the flag of Latvia on display - instead of that of Austria, local media in Albanian and Macedonian are reporting.

The reports said the two flags' colors are "similar": "Red, with a white stripe across the middle." But on the Austrian one, the white stripe is "somewhat wider."

Croatia Museum Upsets Albanians by Using Insulting Term

A Croatian museum is in hot water with the country's Albanian minority after it was discovered using an insulting term for Albanians in an exhibition.

Croatia's Novosti newspaper reported the use of the word on Thursday on a panel board of a bilingual exhibition in Croatian and English in the Archaeological Museum in Zadar.

"Albanians from Medvedja don't want to join Kosovo"

Medvedja is not a part of Presevo valley. The majority of municipality's population are Serbs.

"There is no ethnic animosity here. There are no exclusively "Serbian" or "Albanian" restaurants, people spend time together, congratulate religious holidays to each other.... It is an example of a functioning multi-ethnic place," Arsic said for Vecernje Nnovosti daily .
