BELGRADE - Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Belgrade on Thursday to meet with Serbia's top officials and attend a military parade.
Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic welcomed Putin at the Belfrade airport.
The two officials went to a Blegrade cemetery called Novo groblje after meeting at the airport, where they laid wreaths to commemorate Belgrade's liberators.
Prime minister: Serbia has "clear, firm" policy
BELGRADE -- Serbia is moving toward the EU as its strategic objective, but will not impose sanctions against Russia "for a number of reasons," says Aleksandar Vučić.
According to the Serbian prime minister, "economic reasons are among the more important ones."
BELGRADE - Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic will receive the report on Serbia's progress on its EU path on Wednesday which will be delivered by Head of the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Serbia Michael Davenport, the government announced.
The delivery and the presentation of the report will be held during the government session at noon.
United States "supports reforms in Serbia"
BELGRADE -- U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden spoke on the phone with Serbian PM Aleksandar Vučić "to express respect and support for the reforms Serbia bgan implementing."
This was announced late on Monday by the Serbian government's media relations office.
BELGRADE - When it comes to Ukraine, Serbia is neither non-aligned nor neutral, since Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic has said several times that he supports the territorial integrity of Ukraine and sees Crimea as part of Ukraine, Karen Donfried, president of the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF), has said.
