The Collegium of the minister of defense and the chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Army will consider the security situation in the country and its surroundings.
The meeting is presided by Defense Minster Aleksandar Vulin and held in the Banjica 2 barracks in the capital, the MoD said in a statement.
The daily Politika writes this on Friday, adding that, as in most other cases when US Ambassador Kyle Scott crossed the imaginary line of diplomatic propriety toward Serbia, or when his words hurt the feelings of a large number of citizens here, reactions followed this time as well - both from officials and from the public.
Vulin also said that the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija can feel reassured, and have absolute support of the president and the Serbian Army, because there is no higher interest for the state than "the preservation of Serbs in the territory of Kosovo and Metohija."
A journalist from the television station, Studio B, Barbara Zivotic, has caused much anger with a report from the event that many said was not objective.
