Seven families go back to Syria in last wave of ‘voluntarily return’

Some 34 members of seven Syrian families, who have been residing in Istanbul's Esenyurt district for a decade, "went back home" with an official ceremony held by the local municipality.

Thanking Turkey for being their home, the families moved back to the Syrian cities of Afrin, Latakia and the capital Damascus on a bus on June 8.

Car bomb kills 4 civilians in Syria's Afrin

At least four people were killed in a car bomb attack in Afrin city of northwestern Syria on Feb. 10, state-run Anadolu Agency reported.

An explosive-laden vehicle detonated in the center of the city, killing four civilians and injuring 15 others, some of whom are in critical condition, said the sources who asked not to be named for fear of reprisal.

Syrian Kurdish Forces Have Regained Control of the City of Ras al-Ain

Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have regained control of a key border town in northeastern Syria, according to the DPA, citing the UK-based Syrian Human Rights Monitoring Center.

According to information from the centre, SDF fighters seized the city of Ras al-Ain from Turkish forces and their allies, who entered the city two days ago.

Erdogan: Foreign Media Misinform about the Military Operation in Syria

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan praised the US decision to withdraw from Syria. He noted that there was a discrepancy between the positions expressed by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and those of some Member States regarding Ankara's actions.

Erdogan told reporters that Turkey was ready to implement its decision regarding Manbij.
