Crash Park | Athens | To December 30
Two years after his successful Greek debut with "The Melancholy of Dragons," French director and visual artist Philippe Quesne returns to the Onassis Cultural Center with his latest production, "Crash Park: The Life of an Island," in which he fuses Homer's Odyssey with "Lost" and Jules Verne in a musical about exile and utopia. Tickets cost 7-24 euros and doors open at 8.30 p.m.

High and Low - A Murderer in Tokyo | Athens | December 25-30 & January 2-8
Balancing between theater and film, Syllas Tzoumerkas and Youla Boudali perform "High and Low - A Murderer in Tokyo" at the Onassis Cultural Center (Stegi) in a series of shows from December 25 to 30. The play is inspired by Ed McBain's novel "King's Ransom" and Akira Kurosawa's movie "High and Low," which was based on the book.

Athena Onassis de Miranda, the French-Greek heiress of the Onassis fortune and the only surviving descendant of Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis has pretty much abandoned Greece after marrying Brazilian Olympic showjumper Alvaro de Miranda Neto in 2005. This, of course, comes as no surprise as she had stated that she felt “great aversion to anything Greek” from a young age.
