Serbian Ministry to Probe Playing of Anti-Bosniak Song in School

Serbian Education Ministry said on Thursday evening that it will carry out a review at the at the Vasa Stajic School in the northern city of Novi Sad and that "the provincial inspection will take action" to find out who was responsible after children aged 10 and 11 and a teacher were filmed dancing to an anti-Bosniak song.

Bosnian Army Ex-Soldiers Convicted of Crimes Against Serb Prisoners

The Sarajevo Cantonal Court has sentenced Mustafa Divjan to ten years in prison and Alija Gazibara to two years for crimes against civilians in the Ilidza area during wartime, the court told BIRN.

Divjan was found guilty of killing two Serb civilian prisoners on April 22, 1993 while he was a member of the Bosnian Army's Fourth Motorised Brigade.

Interpol Issues 'Red Notice' for Bosnian in Syria

Interpol on Friday published a "red notice" for Alija Keserevic, aged 23, from Buzim, northwest Bosnia, for organizing a terrorist group and unlawfully either establishing or joining foreign paramilitary or parapolice formations.

The Interpol website said it had published these charges on the request of Bosnia's justice organs.

Erdogan Hails Late Bosnian President as Muslims' Protector

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan paid tribute on Wednesday night to Bosnia's wartime president, Alija Izetbegovic, on the 13th anniversary of his death.

"Alija, as leader in the fight for Bosnian Muslims, enabled the survival of Europe's most important Islamic community," Erdogan tweeted.
