"If that report is not adopted, it automatically means that Lutovac has lost confidence and will no longer remain at the helm of the party," a source from the Democratic Party and a signatory of the initiative to convene a session of the Main Board told Tanjug.

On Friday, one of the Serbian opposition leader and Dveri movement president, Bosko Obradovic, and a couple of his supporters confronted the Health Minister Zlatibor Loncar and not allowing him to enter parliament.

Serbian right-wing opposition party Dveri launched an anti-immigration campaign on Tuesday, warning that the country risked becoming "the biggest migrant centre in this part of Europe" despite statistics that show the vast majority of migrants who enter Serbia pass through quickly en route to Western Europe.

However, DS party leader Zoran Lutovac claims for daily Blic that the DS Main Board and the Presidency are against it and that the Democratic Party does not want to participate in the negotiations attended by the Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic.

Parties in the opposition Alliance for Serbia are united in opposing the Progressive-led government - but not united on whether to participate in upcoming elections.

A majority of representatives have hinted that a boycott might be the best solution.

Representatives of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party and opposition Alliance for Serbia met on Tuesday behind closed doors at the Belgrade's Faculty of Political Science, in the presence of NGOs, to discuss conditions for upcoming elections.

The opposition gave the authorities six days to fulfill their demands.
