Vojvodina provincial assembly gets new speaker
NOVI SAD - The assembly of Serbia's Vojvodina province on Thursday elected Balint Juhas of the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians (SVM) as its new speaker.
Eighty-one of 120 assembly members in attendance voted in favour of Juhas, 28 voted against and six took no part in the vote.

Brnabic: With June 2 elections, we are demonstrating constructiveness
BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic said on Wednesday elections for the Belgrade city assembly and the remaining local polls in Serbia would be held simultaneously on June 2, in line with an opposition demand granted thanks to an appeal by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to demonstrate constructiveness so that "work can be continued after the elections."

Vucic: SNS to have absolute majority with over 127 seats in parliament
BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, the leader of the Serbian Progressive Party's (SNS) Serbia Must Not Stop electoral list, said on Sunday evening that, with 76 pct of votes counted but not including votes from Kosovo-Metohija, the list had won 46.5 pct of votes in the Serbian parliamentary elections, or more than 127 seats in the parliament.
Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians electoral list approved
BELGRADE - Serbia's national electoral commission on Wednesday approved an Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians electoral list for the December 17 early parliamentary polls in Serbia.
The electoral list, named Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians - For Our President, For Our Community, For The Future, will be a national minority list.

Pastor: Vucic seems to be under pressure over new PM
BELGRADE - Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians (SVM) leader Istvan Pastor on Tuesday said Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic seemed to be under pressure over who would become the new PM.
Pastor said this after consultations with Vucic about the new PM, but declined to elaborate on the statement, adding it was his personal impression.

Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians (SVM) leader Istvan Pasztor was on Thursday reelected as the speaker of the assembly of Serbia's Vojvodina province.
The decision was carried by 91 votes for and 14 against, with 13 abstentions.
