Committee to discuss new corona crisis stimulus bill

Ljubljana – The parliamentary Labour Committee is expected to approve the new coronavirus crisis stimulus bill on Monday. The government-proposed bill brings EUR 320 million in aid, with employers eagerly awaiting the extension of the furlough subsidy scheme and partial cover of new expenses arising with the increase in minimum pay.

STA management, staff say govt conduct defeat of rule of law

Ljubljana – The STA management and staff have described the government’s failure to transfer overdue public service payments as required by the latest economic stimulus act as a defeat of the rule of law, convinced that the decision to seek European Commission input over state aid rules as a delaying tactic meant to financially exhaust the agency.

Turkey's current account deficit widens in July

Turkey's current account deficit reached $5.1 billion in July 2017, up almost $2.7 billion year-on-year, official data showed on Sept. 15.      

The current account deficit recorded $5.1 billion, marking an increase of $2.7 billion compared to July of the previous year, bringing the 12-month rolling deficit to $37.1 billion, the Central Bank stated.      

Turkey's current account deficit drops in December

Turkey's current account deficit stood at $4.27 billion in December 2016, down by $784 million compared to the same month in 2015, an official data showed on Feb. 14. 

Considering the full year of 2016, the current account deficit was announced $32.61 billion with a slight increase from $32.12 billion in 2015, according to the Central Bank data. 

Patrone: Accelerate realisation of infrastructure projects

KOPAONIK - Serbia has to accelerate the realisation of infrastructure projects because as many as EUR 3.5 billion allocated to the country for these projects have not been used, Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Serbia Matteo Patrone stated on Thursday.
