GCS: 109 new cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection; over 19,000 tests performed in 24 hours

A number of 109 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 have been registered in the last 24 hours, following over 19,000 tests, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) informed on Sunday. These are cases that have not previously had a positive test.

Ljubljana – Organisers of public events and gatherings must check visitors’ Covid certificates as of Friday under a regulation that the government put in place yesterday. A mobile app has been released, for now only for devices running Google’s Android operating system. A version for Apple devices is expected within two weeks.

Ljubljana – A total of 3,030 PCR tests were conducted in Slovenia on Wednesday to confirm 195 coronavirus infections, a positivity rate of 6.4%, the government said on Thursday. 172 Covid-19 patients are in hospital today, including 49 in intensive care. One patient died.
