Romania's COVID-19 daily case count rises by 307; tests performed in last 24 hours: over 31,000

As many as 307 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 in Romania were recorded in the last 24 hours following over 31,000 tests nationwide, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS), the official novel coronavirus communication task force, reported on Thursday. These are cases of patients that have not previously tested positive.

Seven-day average continues to rise

Ljubljana – Slovenia reported 516 new coronavirus cases in 2,849 PCR tests on Saturday for a positivity rate of some 18%. The seven-day average of new daily cases kept up its upward trend, standing at 808. Five Covid-19 deaths were recorded, show fresh official data.

A total of 6,843 rapid antigen tests were also conducted with all the positives there re-examined with PCR tests.

GCS: 2,972 new cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection, after over 12,000 tests

A number of 2,972 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 have been registered in the last 24 hours, following over 12,000 tests, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) informed on Monday. These are cases that have not previously tested positive, says GCS. As of Monday, 862,681 cases of people infected with the novel coronavirus have been confirmed in Romania.

Uptick in daily case count week-on-week and 7-day average

Ljubljana – Slovenia reported 899 new coronavirus cases from 4,369 PCR tests on Monday in what is an increase compared to a week ago when a similar total of tests was conducted. Eight Covid-19 patients died. The 7-day average of new daily cases grew from 744 to 767 in daily comparison, show fresh government data.
