Fire in Mandra reignites
The fire in Mandra that had been burning for most of last week was reignited around noon on Sunday.
There are ground forces and two aircraft operating on the scene. They had been stationed in the area due to the high risk of fire on Sunday.
The authorities stopped traffic on the road connecting Elefsina to Thiva.

Fatal accident prompts strike at Perama Ship Repair Zone
Workers at the Perama Ship Repair Zone, situated northwest of the Piraeus port, have initiated a fresh 24-hour strike on Wednesday in response to a fatal accident that took place on Tuesday. As part of their protest, employees will gather outside the ISAP electric railway station in Piraeus at 10 a.m., while the Piraeus Labor Center has organized a rally at Korai Square in Piraeus at 7 p.m.
Increase in safety measures at shipyards agreed for summer
Ministry officials and representatives of shipyard workers have met and agreed on increased safety measures at shipyards during the summer, following a fatal accident on Monday.
A 47-year-old crane operator died and two others were injured in the accident, which took place during repair work on a ship.
Bear spotted roaming near Thessaloniki
Local residents at a district east of Thessaloniki were warned about a rogue bear that was spotted roaming the region on Wednesday.
According to the Pilea-Chortiatis municipality's announcement, eye-witnesses saw the animal right below the radar on the path to Kissos, in the Makedonomachon area, near the park of Agia Paraskevi.
