Greece rejects Gucci request for Parthenon runway show
Greece's Central Archaeological Council (KAS), which has oversight over all of the country's ancient sites, has rejected a request by international fashion house Gucci to hold a runway show on the Acropolis this summer.

This is a map showing where all of the characters originated in Homer’s epic poem The Iliad. I know Greece is small by today’s standards, but it was surprising to me how geographically widespread the hometowns of the characters were. The Iliad is set sometime in the 11th or 12th century BC, about 400 years before Homer lived.
Klaros on way to becoming faith tourism center
Findings obtained during archaeological excavations in Klaros, one of the world's oldest oracle centers in the Menderes district of the western Turkish province of İzmir, are contributing to the development of faith tourism.
The head of the Klaros excavations, Professor Nurdan Şahin, said excavations had been continuing with intervals in Klaros since its discovery in 1907.

Vucic, Johnson lay wreaths at Commonwealth cemetery
BELGRADE - Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic and British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson on Friday laid wreaths at the Commonwealth Cemetery in Belgrade in commemoration of the WWI Armistice Day.
In attendance at the ceremony were members of the Serbian Armed Forces Guard and the Irish Guard.
