The counter-terrorist squad is investigating a flat near Syngrou Avenue, behind the Intercontinental Hotel, at Neos Kosmos, near the Athens Center. The third-floor flat is believed to have been used by two wanted robbers known as the “robbers in black”, Spyros Christodoulos and Grigoris Tsironis, whose accomplice had committed suicide at Nea Anhialou, Volos, Thessaly.

The Greek Ministry of Culture has ordered the resignations of the National Museum of Contemporary Arts director and board of directors, it emerged Thursday.
According to Kathimerini sources, the ministry ordered the board to submit resignations on Wednesday, before demanding the same of the museums director, Anna Kafetzi, on Thursday.

Athens, Peloponnese road accidents lead to one death, 10 injuries
An unidentified man was killed in the early hours on Monday while trying to cross Syngrou Avenue, south of central Athens, after crashing his vehicle into a protective barrier.
Investigators believe he was trying to reach help after sustaining injuries in the crash when he was hit by an oncoming vehicle on the high-speed avenue.
