The prize-winning author of the design for the one-euro coin in Croatia withdrew his design on Monday, after claims that he had copied a published photograph.

Stjepan Pranjkovic said he was withdrawing the design due to "negative atmosphere in the media, as well as the pressure" he was under.

Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic has apologized to Ukraine after President Zoran Milanovic said it was one of the most corrupt countries in the world - and that Croatia should withdraw its soldiers from there, even though no Croatian soldiers are actually stationed there.

In the event of a conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Croatian authorities will withdraw all military personnel from NATO forces in Eastern Europe. This was announced on Tuesday by the President of the Republic Zoran Milanovic on the national television HRT.

Sefik Dzaferovic, the Bosniak member of the state presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, called Nadarevic's death a great loss for Bosnian culture.

The Croatian parliament was dissolved on Monday on the proposal last week of six parliamentary clubs of the ruling majority, led by the centre-right Croatian Democratic Union HDZ, whose ratings have risen in the coronavirus epidemic.
