Brnabic on Friday added that she "does not know what more Serbia can do" - replying to reporters who asked her to comment on Croatia's continued insistence that Serbia should "clearly and unequivocally" condemn the behavior of Vojislav Seselj that had led to a Croatian delegation cutting short their visit.

Over 10,000 protesters from all over Croatia, as well as from Bosnia and Herzegovina, gathered on Thursday evening in the centre of the coastal city of Split to protest against Zagreb's upcoming ratification Council of Europe's Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence, widely known as the Istanbul Convention.

The Croatian government urged parliament on Thursday to ratify a European treaty designed to combat violence against women despite opposition within the ruling party, among conservative groups and from the local Catholic Church.

BRUSSELS - Croatian PM Andrej Plenkovic said in Brussels on Wednesday Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic's visit to Zagreb had opened all topics and that a methodology for further dialogue had been agreed.

After months of rows and cancelled meetings, Slovenian Prime Minister Miro Cerar is visiting Zagreb on Tuesday to meet his Croatian counterpart Andrej Plenkovic in the hope of moving forwards towards a resolution of the territorial dispute between the two states.

Cerar cancelled the 27 September visit to Croatia after Andrej Plenković, the Croatian prime minister, offered in his address to the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly the arbitration tribunal's decision on the border between Croatia and Slovenia as an example of how international law is being undermined.

Slovenian Prime Minister Mirko Cerar on Thursday said that he was cancelling his visit to Zagreb after his Croatian counterpart, Andrej Plenkovic, told the UN in an address that Slovenia had "compromised" international arbitration of their dispute over the Piran Gulf.

Slovenian and Croatian PMS Miro Cerar and Andrej Plenkovic will meet next week to discuss the implementation of the ruling on the Piran Bay border dispute.
