Bulgaria's Dimitrov Loses to Nadal in Basel

Grigor Dimitrov, Bulgaria's best male tennis player, was defeated by Rafael Nadal (Spain) in the second round of at ATP 500 tournament in Basel, Switzerland.

Dimitrov lost on Wednesday evening 4:6, 6:4, 3:6.

In the first two sets, he managed to reach 4:0 before Nadal caught up.

This is Nadal's seventh, out of seven, defeat over Dimitrov.

Bulgaria's top ranking male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov was ousted dramatically from the third round of the Western & Southern Open, which is taking place in Cincinnati.

In a match, which lasted more than three hours, Dimitrov was defeated by Andy Murray from the UK with 6:4, 6:7 (3), 5:7.

Bulgaria's top male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov on Tuesday defeated Vasek Pospisil (Canada) at the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati, Ohio.

After his 7:6, 7:6 victory in a match which many described as hard and even, Dimitrov became the first player to find a spot in round three of the tournament.

Nadal still upbeat for rest of the year

Rafael Nadal believes he can recover from his crushing French Open quarterfinal defeat by Novak Djokovic and return even stronger. 

The Spaniard, who turned 29 on June 3 when he was beaten 7-5, 6-3, 6-1 by world number one Djokovic, only his second defeat in 11 years at Roland Garros, said he was no longer suffering from the physical problems that affected him last year.
