COVID-19 rate in Bucharest up to 3.19; Timis, Cluj, Brasov and Ilfov counties still in red scenario

The incidence rate of SARS-CoV-2 infections in Bucharest rose to 3.19 per thousand inhabitants on Sunday, with the following counties still in the red scenario, at over 3 per thousand cases, Brasov, with an incidence of 3.35 cases of SARS-CoV-2 infections per thousand inhabitants, Cluj - 3.54, Ilfov - 3.76 and Timis, with 5.60, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) announced.

As many as 3,761 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 have been recorded in the past 24 hours, the Strategic Communication Group reports on Friday. These are cases that have not previously had a positive test, the GCS states. By Friday, 795,732 cases of people infected with the novel coronavirus had been confirmed in Romania. Of these, 736,020 were declared cured.

Of these, 733,616 were declared cured.

These are cases that have not previously had a positive test, the GCS states. As of Wednesday, 788,048 cases of people infected with the novel coronavirus had been confirmed in Romania. Of these, 731,049 were declared cured.

Bucharest, Feb 23 /Agerpres/ - As many as 3,382 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 have been recorded in the past 24 hours, following more than 32,000 national tests, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) reports Tuesday. These are cases that have not previously had a positive test, the GCS states.

"It's highly unlikely that the virus came from the lab"

They said that the animal from which the coronavirus originated was not found. They add that there is no indication that the virus was present in the Chinese city of Wuhan long before it was discovered.
According to Liang Wannian, a Chinese expert from Tsinghua University, bats and pangolins have been ruled out as possible sources of coronavirus.

Cluj County, most new cases of coronavirus, 451, followed by Bucharest, 335

The areas with the most newly confirmed cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection compared to the last report are Cluj County - 451, followed by Bucharest municipality - 335 and the counties of Timis - 240, Brasov - 119, Suceava - 98, according to data transmitted on Tuesday by the Strategic Communication Group (GCS).
