MS requests postponement of relaxation measures in Bucharest, due to cases of infection with new SARS-CoV-2 variant
Two other cases of infection with the increased transmissibility SARS-CoV-2 variant were sequenced at the National Institute of Infectious Diseases "Matei Bals", informed the Ministry of Health, specifying that it recommended, on Friday, to the Bucharest City Emergency Management Committee (CMBSU) to postpone the decisions to relax the restrictions.

Romania's COVID-19 case count rises by 4,841; tests performed in last 24 hours: 31,592
As many as 4,841 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 in Romania were reported in the last 24 hours, following 31,592 tests nationwide, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS), the official novel coronavirus communication task force, reported on Friday. The number of new SARS-CoV-2 infections climbed to 928 on Tuesday which brought the overall number to 141,453, the National Organization for Public Health (EODY) said in its daily bulletin.
