Two other cases of infection with the increased transmissibility SARS-CoV-2 variant were sequenced at the National Institute of Infectious Diseases "Matei Bals", informed the Ministry of Health, specifying that it recommended, on Friday, to the Bucharest City Emergency Management Committee (CMBSU) to postpone the decisions to relax the restrictions.

As many as 4,841 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 in Romania were reported in the last 24 hours, following 31,592 tests nationwide, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS), the official novel coronavirus communication task force, reported on Friday. These are cases of patients that had not previously tested positive.

A number of 5,719 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 have been recorded in the past 24 hours, following the performance of 34,343 tests at national level, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) informs on Wednesday. These are cases that have not previously had a positive test, says GCS.

The number of new SARS-CoV-2  infections climbed to 928 on Tuesday which brought the overall number to 141,453, the National Organization for Public Health (EODY) said in its daily bulletin.

Thirty-one of the new cases were identified at the country's entry points.

A number of 3,130 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 have been reported in the past 24 hours, following 9,550 tests carried out nationwide, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) reported on Monday. These are cases that have not previously had a positive test, says GCS. As of Monday, 643,559 cases of people infected with the novel coronavirus have been confirmed in Romania.

The Ministry of Health states that, on the Romanian territory, the new SARS-Cov-2 variant detected in the United Kingdom has not been confirmed so far, and the confirmation procedure will be finalized in the next days.
