Covid count sees decline during weekend
Ljubljana – A total of 2,461 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Slovenia from Friday to Sunday, a decline of about 200 cases compared to the same period a week ago, the latest data by the Health Ministry show. Twelve Covid-19 patients died in the three-day period.

Ljubljana – A total of 2,280 new daily coronavirus cases were detected in Slovenia on Monday. Three people died, the Health Ministry said on Twitter. 80 patients were at regular hospital wards because of Covid-19 on Monday and 12 were in intensive care. In total, 227 patients with a confirmed infection were in hospital, which is 12 fewer than on Sunday.
Free self-testing kits for students available from Monday
Ljubljana – Free kits for Covid-19 self-testing for primary and secondary school students in the new school year will be available in Slovenian pharmacies from Monday. Testing will be voluntary and will take place at home, with funds for the campaign being secured from the national budget.
