Flood-hit museums reopen doors in less than a year
Following the aftermath of floods that hit the southeastern province of Şanlıurfa last year, Şanlıurfa Archaeology Museum and Haleplibahçe Mosaic Museum, which were badly damaged, have reopened their doors to visitors in just 11 months, after repair and maintenance work was completed.

Discovery Channel, one of the best-known documentary channels in the world, has begun filming documentaries on history in important places of the southeastern province of Şanlıurfa, particularly Göbeklitepe, which is considered the "zero point of history."

Journey to history of humanity in Şanlıurfa
The Şanlıurfa Museum Complex, which opened in the southeastern province of Şanlıurfa one-and-half-years-ago and became Turkey's largest museum, takes history aficionados on a journey to the history of humanity dating back to the ancient times.
The complex, which is located on an area of 200,000 square meters, is next to the city's famous tourist attraction Balıklıgöl.
