In a special action, the The General Directorate Combating Organized Crime and the police from Veliko Tarnovo broke up a drug lab for the production of amphetamines in Tarnovo, the Ministry of Interior announced.

Bulgaria Police Detain Jordan, Syria Nationals in Amphetamine Bust

Bulgarian police have seized 108 kg of amphetamine and arrested nine people, including two Jordanians and a Syrian national, suspected of involvement in illicit drugs trade.

The other six of the detained are Bulgarian citizens, some of them have criminal records, according to a statement released by the Ministry of the Interior on Friday.

Two methamphetamine labs and a greenhouse for cannabis have been uncovered in an operation of Bulgaria's State Agency for National Security (DANS) in Sofia.

During the special police operation, which was conducted on September 25-26 and was supervised and managed by the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office, five Bulgarian nationals were arrested.

30 Kg Amphetamine Seized in Special Operation in Bulgaria's Pernik

Bulgaria's State Agency for National Security (DANS) has seized 30 kg of amphetamine tablets, the agency announced.

On June 27th, employees of DANS under the leadership of the District Prosecution Office in the town of Pernik, conducted a special operation on the territory of the Pernik region for the prevention of drug trafficking.

Norwegian Tourist Falls From a Balcony in Sunny Beach

A 20-year-old Norwegian woman fell from the balcony of her first floor hotel room in Sunny Beach, reports Darik radio.

She is currently in hospital with a head concussion and a broken arm, but her life is not in danger.

The doctors in the Burgas hospital said she told them she was standing on her balcony when she suddenly felt dizzy and fell down.
