Turkish tourism sector expects dramatic rise in domestic tourists after Ramadan
Tourism sector representatives have pinned their hopes on a potential post-Ramadan rise in the number of domestic tourists with the help of discount campaigns in hotel prices, especially in Antalya, the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB) said July 7.

Young woman clings to life in southern Turkey
A 19-year-old woman in Turkey's southern province of Antalya fell from the balcony of her seventh floor apartment but managed to cling to life by grabbing the sixth floor balcony parapets and leaping to the terrace below.
On June 23, Aybüke Y?lmaz went out on her apartment's balcony in Turkey's Mediterranean province of Antalya where she lives with her parents.

SunExpress raises weekly flights to 700
SunExpress, a joint venture company of Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa, will increase the number of its flights to 700 a week this season, said Paul Schwaiger, the company's managing director, at a press conference held in Antalya June 23.
"Our company has carried more than 63 million passengers since the date we were established 25 years ago.

Number of foreign visitors to Turkey decreases by 8.1 pct in April
The number of foreign people visiting Turkey decreased by 8.1 percent in April from the same months of the previous year, according to data from the Tourism Ministry.
"The number of foreign visitors decreased to 2.43 million in April, an 8.1 percent decrease from the same period of 2014, upon the temporary figures of the Turkish National Police," said the ministry on May 27.
