The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) unveiled the internal migration figures for the year 2022, revealing that a staggering 2.7 million citizens migrated between provinces within the country.

The annual migration rate, which has exhibited a fluctuating trajectory over the years, reached 3.27 percent in 2022, up from 3.18 percent during the 2007-2008 period.

It's often viewed as a given: Men hunted, women gathered. After all, the anthropological reasoning went, men were naturally more aggressive, whereas the slower pace of gathering was ideal for women, who were mainly focused on caretaking.

The trend of child-free weddings is spreading in Greece with an increasing number of couples choosing it for their own celebration, though not everyone is on board with the idea.

The Parliamentary Earthquake Commission has requested for a zoning amnesty to be limited to urban transformation in order to solve the property problem of illegal structures.

The Commission also reported that around 6.7 million houses need to be retrofitted or rebuilt.

"I did not find it strange, maybe because it was not talked about as something unusual," said Zorica Ivanović, assistant professor at the Department of Ethnography and Anthropology at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade, recalling a chance discovery on one of her field trips.
