Turkey's ambassador to Afghanistan met the Taliban's acting deputy prime minister and assured of strengthening bilateral ties between Kabul and Ankara, an official statement said on Sept. 29. 

There were at least 823 people on board.
This number is higher than the previous estimate, according to which 640 people were evacuated on that particular flight.

Their relatives say that they have already called all the institutions for evacuation, and only the Ukrainian embassy in Tajikistan responded.

Educated young women, former U.S. military translators and other Afghans most at-risk from the Taliban appealed to the Biden administration to get them on evacuation flights as the United States struggled to bring order to the continuing chaos at the Kabul airport.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs provided information about 13 Bulgarian citizens who managed to evacuate from Afghanistan. Five of them are already in Dubai (UAE), and another 8 Bulgarians have landed in Doha (Qatar) after a flight from Kabul. The second group of compatriots worked in Afghanistan for the EU Permanent Representation.

The Taliban warned on Aug. 4 of more attacks targeting Afghan government leaders, a day after the defence minister escaped an assassination attempt and as the insurgents fought to take control of a string of besieged cities across the country.

Afghan forces battled Monday to stop a first major city from falling to the Taliban as the United States and Britain accused the insurgents of "massacring civilians" in a town they recently captured near the Pakistan border.

A car drove into a group of people in south-west London. At least seven people are injured, according to BGNES.

The incident happened on Saturday at about 23:15 local time (01:15 Sunday Bulgarian time). It is noted that police have arrived at the crime scene after receiving a call for mass battles. The group were driven at after they left a nearby hotel, police said.
