Austria may stop Bulgaria from entering the Schengen area
One of the main goals, justifying the alliance of the "Denkov-Gabriel" cabinet, may soon be unachievable. Bulgaria will hardly get into the Schengen area this summer or at the beginning of the next year. This became clear from the words of Austrian Minister Gerhard Karner, quoted by BTA.
Nehammer thanks Serbia for amending its visa regime
VIENNA - Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer said on Friday Austria, Serbia and Hungary had succeeded in curbing illegal migration, and thanked Serbia for amending its visa regime for Indian and Tunisian nationals, which he noted had resulted in a decline in the number of illegal migrants in Austria.
He was speaking after a Vienna summit of the three countries.

A Moldovan deputy for the pro-Russian Socialist Party, Alla Dolinta, resigned on Wednesday from parliament and from the Socialist Party of Moldova, PSRM, because of the party's stance on the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
"For over four-and-a-half months, in a neighbouring state, Ukraine, which is essentially my home because my parents were born there, is at war," she said.
