U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday claimed that he is "very concerned" that Russia will be "pushing very hard" for Democrats in the upcoming midterms, contradicting his earlier statement he does not believe Russia is still interfering in U.S. politics and renewing his allegation of potentially rigged elections.

Trump Says he Holds Putin 'Personally Responsible' for Election Meddling
US President Donald Trump has said he holds Russian President Vladimir Putin personally responsible for Russia's meddling in the 2016 US presidential election.
"Just like I consider myself to be responsible for things that happen in this country. So certainly as the leader of a country you would have to hold him responsible, yes," President Trump told CBS News in an interview.

Trump remarked that US involvement in defending a small country, such as Montenegro, could trigger a world war.
In an interview for Fox News at the end of his European tour, during which he took part in a NATO Summit, visited the UK, and met with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Trump spoke about the functioning and the financing of the western military alliance.
"It was bad between US and Russia, but that's all changed"
Putin assessed that relations between Russia and the United States are "in a difficult state," but hopes that the two sides will now understand each other better.
Trump pointed out that relations between the two countries have never been worse, but that "everything has changed" after the talks.
