Turks celebrate New Year with various events across country
Citizens in many parts of the country, especially in Istanbul, the capital Ankara and western province of İzmir, have welcomed the new year with various events, while a group of people in the southern province of Antalya celebrated the arrival of the new year by entering the sea at a temperature of 10 degrees.

Located in Istanbul's Üsküdar district, the 244-year-old Beylerbeyi Hammam, built by Ottoman Sultan Abdülhamid I in 1778, has been put up for sale by its shareholders for 48 million Turkish Liras (nearly $2.6 million).

A 440-year-old ancient Turkish bath in Istanbul constructed by Mimar Sinan, known as the "Grand Architect," has been put up for sale for 33 million Turkish Liras ($2 million), daily Milliyet report.

Heart of Turkish art history reopens
The Ankara State Art and Sculpture Museum, home to some of the most valuable works of Turkish art history, reopened after a year-long restoration with a ceremony on Dec. 28.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that 4,440 artworks have been brought back to the country in the last 18 years.

Turkey’s art temple in Ankara reopens after one-year hiatus
